B Playful: Words and phrases

Last night was game night and you'd think with someone who writes everyday and loves word wouldn't go completely blank in a game of scattergories. It's under pressure that will get you. But then I started looking around my makeshift office and discovered I am surrounded by words and phrases that either organize, help me dream or sometimes inspire.

I love notes, post its, pads or anything used to organize so its no wonder I have so many word key office supplies laying around.

B Buying: Holiday party dresses

It's that time of year. Starbucks red cups are out and the only thing on my mind are holiday party dresses. Holidays are the time to bring out all the stops. Velvet, leather, sequins and lace. They're my favorite trends of the moment and I want to wear sequined heels all the time including during errands. Unfortunately, I have a feeling that I want many more dresses than there is parties. Costume changes might be in need and a man in a bow tie as well please.

B Kate: The final mainline collection launches

Kate Moss' final mainline collection launches on TopShop today and I already have picked out my favorites. While it says final this is not the end. According to TopShop owner Sir Philip Green as he told WWD, “I’m not going anywhere and neither is she,” he said. “This collection still works, and our relationship hasn’t ended. But we now need to go away for a while, and think about how to do things differently. This collection takes a lot of hard work — she wants to do other things and so do I — but our relationship is as strong as ever.”

The collection is compiled of 109 styles and filled with bohemian pieces that have feminine touches. I appreciate the timing of the collection release because now when in doubt for holiday dress season, turn to Kate for TopShop.

Women's Wear Daily is celebrating their one hundredth year this month. I am fascinated by all the knowledge and history they hold of fashion. But mostly, I am jealous of those who have gotten to love fashion longer than myself. Years ago designers and stars alike have been celebrating how fashion has grown and watched how it has changed.
