B Giddy: Over the weekend

I can't resist getting into the Valentine's Day mood with chocolate treats dressed in pink and kelly green polish that pops against everything I wear. I am in love with Essie's pretty edgy, it is my go-to color of the moment and made me a very giddy girl over the weekend.

B Confident: dressbarn Dress for Success video

Finally, it is here! The first installment of the dressbarn Style Squad series. I snuck off to New York City a few months ago (here and here) for an all day shoot surprising 5 fabulous ladies with a dressbarn makeover. Joining my two other Style Squad team members Antonia Luis Rosa and PJ Gach (bettyconfidential.com) we played all day long with great pieces from dressbarn. This video is the first of four to come and where I talk to dressbarn customer Shelley about feeling confident so she can Dress for Success.

This video is just in time for the celebration of dressbarn supporting the Dress for Success program with Send One Suit weekend. dressbarn's Send One Suite Weekend running February 24-27 aims to remove a basic hurdle for those women in need seeking a job. All dressbarn locations nationwide will serve as drop-off sites for gently used suits, dresses, skirts, slacks, blouses, belts and shoes that will be used to benefit those women that need the confidence to walk into a new place of employment. dressbarn stores will also offer 15% discount to those donors that are generous to show their gratitude for supporting Dress for Success.

Check dressbarn's facebook fan page tomorrow (Tuesday February 1st) as I will be their spotlighted blogger and answered a few more questions on my favorites and rules to fashion!

B Bites: Designer weekend treats

Just thought I'd share some of these designer sweets I found on The Terrier and Lobster blog early this week. What I would do for a bit into a Louboutin macaroon... Happy weekend!

Big surprise coming for Monday's post so be sure to check the blog early :)

B Loves: A gift just because...

Receiving gifts are special on your birthday, Christmas or other gifting holidays. But a gift that means more is one just because. When someone isn't having a good day or you just want to show them how much they mean to you, giving a gift will mean more than just the item. All week I have been browsing and found adorable items I would love to be gifted just because...

1. Rebecca Minkoff cory pouch -$35
2. Kenneth Jay Lane coral link necklace -$85
3. Kate Spade new york round earrings -$55
4. Kate Spade cobble hill katie bag in persimmon -$385
5. Marc by Marc Jacobs aviators -$110

B Trend: The carry all pouch

I love a good clutch that is over sized and fits practically everything you already have in your carry all. Well enter, the carry all pouch. An over sized pouch that does just that. Celine has done a lot of pouches for their Summer 2011 collection and I can't help but want the look. Though the Celine pouch is hard to come by but thankfully you can get the same look thanks to American Apparel for just $45.

Will you carry the carry all pouch?

B Colored: Gisele Bundchen goes outside the lines

I love this pictorial of Gisele photographed by Regan Cameron. Just goes to show how many more of us need to start playing with make up. Coloring outside the lines can be just as beautiful.

B Reviewed: OPI Black Shatter top coat

Last weekend I got to try the new OPI black shatter top coat. Rather than layering it over the polishes from the Katy Perry collection I chose to use Essie's pink parka. It was the brightest color to help the black shatter pop. While the shatter top coat doesn't look like leopard to me as somewhat advertised throughout the press build up. The shatter is a different look to add to your nails. Next I would like to see it over a metallic.

What do you think of the black shatter top coat?

B Original: Etsy 4Four cards

I love getting cards in the mail and have been on the search for original cards that don't have that cliche hallmark note inside. Etsy has grown to be one of my favorite sites for originality because it is filled with creative artists using their talents. I stumbled upon 4Four greeting cards and whether its for upcoming Valentine's Day or not, their cards are dripping in sarcasm. I love them.

B DIY: Half moon manicure

Since the Spring 2011 runways I have been lusting after a half moon manicure of my own. Half moon manicure is a geometric nail trend that goes against the traditional of the classic french manicure. The dark color on the bottom is the graphic element that helps the nail pop. I plan on trying this half moon in different shades throughout the season but decided to start with neutral tones similar to the Vena Cava runway for my first try.

B Dolled: Pink beauty make up

Corrie Bond

A new She & Him video debuted this week with another maybe trend starting by Zooey Deschanel, pink eyeliner. The video is retro themed but talks about the future. Is this a new trend to start this spring? Well if you don't wear it on your eyes you can definitely wear it on your lips and cheeks as other shown.

Here are some of my pink beauty picks:

B Cheery: Pop of neon and mens fashion

Sometimes all I need to cheer me up after a hard day is a pop of neon and some great men style inspiration. Good to know there are men out there taking risks just as much as women in fashion. I love the strong presence of plaid and mixed prints throughout layers with the common thread of great tailoring.

While sometimes us women can get caught up in wearing the same thing over and over because we feel comfortable or its our favorite, mix in a pop of color for something unexpected. Neon is becoming more chic rather than loud this season, it is earning the name of my new favorite accessory.

B Cryptid: Little rooms jewelry collection

Trends for jewelry are growing more outside the box and I personally have been more attracted to unexpected pieces. Something a bit punk like my spike bracelet for when I wear a sequin skirt or something insanely feminine or a ring with a dagger on it not the expected pretty rhinestones.

I was just introduced to the new collection by Little Rooms appropriately called The Cryptid Collection. The collection is filled with unexpected pieces like an attachable ear cuff or armour for your shoes in shapes of locks. One of the most original pieces is the victory teeth rings that give a tough edge. Here is a look at the look book for their newest collection you can buy online at LittleRooms.com:

B Color: Orange obsession

Here is an interesting fact for you: I don't have a favorite color. I get color obsessions. In 2010 I had a blue color obsession and once a coral color obsession. This all started when I purchased a new pair of Nike frees on my birthday in a new orange color then every thing fell into place after. I received Butter London's Jaffa color from beautybar.com yesterday and had to paint my nails in the orange hue.

Orange is a loud color that is great to use for accents. See how the color pops and other ways Orange is a good color to obsess about this season.

B Beauty: Golden Globes fashion 2011

All night I laughed, teared and even cackled with girlfriends over the Golden Globes from the comfort of my own living room all alone. Yes, I was alone but because of twitter watching award season alone isn't so bad anymore. All night I couldn't help but re-tweet, comment and just laugh out loud to a tweet commenting how gorgeous Anne looks or how disastrous Scarlett's hair was.

Almost 5 hours in front of the TV reading and taking notes of all the fashion walking the red carpet. While there were some mistakes as usual there was quite a bit of risk taking and some stand out loves. I could look at Anne Hathaway's gown for the rest of time and I'd be okay with it. Or the first celebrity spotted stayed in my mind all night thanks to her sequin gown and spiked Louboutin heels, thank you Olivia Wilde.

Even if you didn't watch and you missed the huge Golden Globe tweet up last night you can't disagree that the following images are some of the most beautiful women in the world but don't forget smart girls have more fun...

Anne Hathaway in Armani Prive

Angelina Jolie in Atelier Versace

Dianna Agron wearing J Mendel

Anne Hathaway

Ryan Gosling wearing a bow tie.. Enough said.

Olivia Wilde in Marchesa
January Jones in Versace

Lea Michele

Olivia Wilde in Christian Louboutin heels

Emma Stone in Calvin Klein

Claire Danes in Calvin Klein

Leighton Meester in Buberry Prorsum
