B Personal: Interior finishing touches

As I'm settling down into a new apartment I am on the hunt for those special touches to make my apartment feel like home. As I came to NYC with nothing but my necessities (clothes, handbags, jewelry) home decor got the short end of the deal. Finding things that start a conversation or create interest on its own will give my small living place more interest!

1. Side table
2. Needlepoint pillow
3. Lacquer tray
4. The End bookends
5. Mercury owl

B Hinged: The perfect bangle

Bangles. We all love them, want to wear as many as we can but in reality they can be a bit bothersome. Either they fit over your hand then too big on your wrist or too small to fit over your hand to accommodate your wrist. Thankfully Kate Spade heard this problem and voila, the hinge bracelet. This bracelet has been added on my wrist daily since purchase. I can stack them and wear them for hours in the office without being bothered by this around my wrist. Hinge bracelets have changed my world!

B Knitted

There was a time where I couldn't wait to buy new yarn and try a new knitting project. Maybe it was the Arizona heat that happened or blogging took over my creative role but seeing this video of knitting makes want to pick up the needles again. I'm hoping to find a cute knit shop soon so I can spend one of these fall saturday's curled up knitting myself a scarf, the ultimate DIY! What would you like to knit?

B Styled: Nude suede booties

A quick impulse buy came to me this weekend in the form of nude suede booties. The search began for just plain black pumps as my heels haven't made it to New York yet and I was in need of some height. The intent changed to find something that wouldn't be the same as I already own but wear often. I paired these booties for the first time with a soldier costume believe it or not but now I'm working on styling it for everyday wear. They're the perfect finishing piece on my fall layering.
1. Aubin & Wills dress
2. Folded lapel crop blazer
3. Zara sequined wallet
4. Brown solid tights
5. Madewell leather satchel
6. Sarapo loop scarf
7. Nine West booties

B Seen: A NYC weekend

This last weekend marked my first Saturday and Sunday as a New York resident. Getting used to the fast paced life has treated me well as I'm beginning to really get settled starting off with locking down an apartment with this gal. Anticipating our move next weekend we enjoyed grabbing coffee and wandering to SoHo for the grand opening of C. Wonder. The store was vibrant on the outside as it was inside and started as perfect inspiration to my upcoming apartment decorating. Keep your eye out soon for C. Wonder popping online for those of you not nearby and unable to peak into this new treasure!

B Dries

Since I landed in New York it has been non-stop. They weren't kidding when they said this city never sleeps but boy do I need some time to finish my to-do list and you scramble to find as much extra time in your day as possible. Blow drying your hair might seem like a pointless task especially when you make the excuse of "I'm protecting my hair from heat damage", though in the winter the same kind of damage can occur if you don't dry. Your mother didn't tell you to dry your hair to keep you from getting a cold but keep the cold from breaking your hair. Walking out the door with drenched locks will only give your hair more reason to give you some bad days!

B Trend: Plaid in for plain

As fall came around I ditched the summer florals and have traded them in for all different kinds of plaids. I bought the plaid coat before I left and love the neutral colors that allow it to go with everything while remaining a statement piece that catches compliments.
1. Plaid coat
2. Kate Spade purse
3. Tory Burch flats
4. Madewell button down

B Moves

It's moving day! I'm headed to my new home of New York City and so excited for this new adventure. Since March on that exciting graduation day I have been waiting for the opportunity that would challenge my creativity and encourage me to give more than what is expected. Thank you all for the comments and tweets of congratulations and good luck, can't wait to share so much of the city I will soon call home!

B Bundled

Are you ready for some serious cold? When I realized that my last winter was spent in the desert where I barely wore a scarf I realized it was time to bulk up my wardrobe. Looking for some warm clothes that aren't too boxy and still show off a shape with style was important. I more importantly fell in love with the gloves that have removable pointer finger and thumb holes for convenient textting because you know we need that!
1. Kate Spade ear warmer
2. J Crew hadley sweater
3. Corso Como redmond boot
4. Banana Republic striped socks
5. Banana Republic over the knee socks
6. Marc by Marc Jacobs gloves

B Clean: Clarisonic mia review and giveaway

We all were there when Oprah screamed to the audience about this amazing skincare invention called a Clarisonic. We all wanted it but even with her stamp of approval there was skepticism in my head because of the price tag. I didn't know anyone personally who had tried a Clarisonic system so as always I was the guinea pig. Let me know be that personal friend to you and fill you in on my results.

After the first use I felt a dramatic difference in my skin. The Clarisonic Mia is gentle but strong enough to stray all dead skin from your face. I have been blessed with great skin and with so I have admittedly become lazy with taking care of it. TheClarisonic Mia cleans my skin so thorougly that when I am in bed after a whole day and haven't cleansed, I can feel the dirt. When you have a cleansing system that reminds you to clean, that is one you want.

And you can get it. Clarisonic is giving away a clarisonic mia to one of Just B readers! I have traveled with this cleansing brush and it fit easily into my makeup bag and one charge will last you a long weekend! Here is what you need to do to enter:

B Wore: Casual sunday

I took advantage of the three day weekend and after the gym followed by shopping made some time for myself and the couch. My to do list is getting long but dressing for a casual sunday to get some blogging done was a must. I received the J Brand skinnies in the mail this week (a late gift from Lucky FABB) and was instantly obsessed with the fit and inner leg detail. Just added a wide striped sweater and leopard flats to give my simple combo some interest.

B taking a one way

It has been over a year since I began to flirt with New York imagining what it would be like to make a life there. After graduation I made the decision to move to the Northwest to take the time to find the perfect place for myself. For the summer, Seattle was the perfect place to spend time with my family and focus on those things that were on the back burner. Then Friday came with some exciting news, I landed a job position in New York City!

This will be quick move as I plan on moving to NYC next weekend! It hasn't complete sunk in but shopping for a one way ticket makes it more real. Here's to exciting new adventures and an incredible journey! Thank you for being apart of it. xo B

Let the beauty of what you love, be what you do.

Soon after I find the perfect boots I want for everyday wear this fall you won't find me in something less than this. Classic skinnies, a thick knitted sweater, leather crossbody with animal print somewhere in sight. Who wouldn't want to wear this everyday?

B Listed

Here is something on my to do list besides shopping (surprised?). Looking for some great new colored pencils and a notebook to start sketching again. I have found myself lately doodling on anything scraps pieces that have come in my way. After long weeks I am craving for something creative and unplugged from the social life.

B Booted: Rough around the edges

The fall weather has done the change and boots are the best option. Last season I was after classic boots that I could dress up and down but something about the rain makes me crave something rough and comfortable. I'm loving strong leather boots that I can pull on with skinnies and a large over sized sweater. These are some options I plan on trying before finding the perfect pair. What's on your shopping list?
